-24- Like a Human

Our cat likes to sit/lay in our dining table chairs, and we always shoo her off. This time though I had to take a pic first - so cute!

-23- Almost Bread

The only reason these bananas are still on our counter is because I will be making banana bread with them soon. They're almost ready!

-22- Walk a Mile in These Shoes

I wore these shoes today and they reminded me of Oxford, as they usually do whenever I wear them. I bought them at Primark, a department store with affordable prices that's popular in the U.K. and other parts of Europe. They are deceptively durable; I can't count how many miles I've walked in them around Oxford, and even since then.

-21- Searching for a Deal

These are the grocery store ads we received a few days ago. This morning I sat down and looked through each of them, taking note of which items we needed that were worth the price advertised at which store. My next step is to see if there are any coupons out there for these items. Hopefully we can save some money if I keep this up! Wish me luck!

-20- Walk to the Store

Our apartment is right next to a grocery store. Literally, we just have to walk across the parking lot, through a gate, and around the corner of the store building and we are at the front door of it. This evening we really wanted Oreos, so we walked to the store together and it took less time to walk there and back than it would have if we'd driven! I will definitely be walking there from now on whenever I just need a quick few items.

-19- Awkward Amount

A couple hours after dinner tonight I was hungry. I wanted cereal, so I started pouring out some Lucky Charms. Unfortunately, the amount I wanted left just a small, awkward amount in the box, one that wouldn't serve as a meal and wouldn't even be worthwhile to get as a snack. So... I just poured it all out for a large bowlful of cereal. I often run into this problem, especially with pasta (as Rebekah knows).

-18- Leak

Yesterday was pretty much the last day of our honeymoon; Justin finally started work today. And wouldn't you know, the day he is gone I decide to do some laundry and the washer leaks. Actually, it's not as dramatic as it sounds, and it has happened before. We know where the problem is and how to fix it, so it's not that big of a deal. I just thought this image was too hilarious not to capture. This is the view of our laundry room when he was busy drying the water behind the washer. Before this, I dried what I could and waited for him to come home to move the washer and dry what was left.
