-17- We're Going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo

We took a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo today. It was rather warm and humid, but we had a lot of fun. This red kangaroo is the only decent photo I got of an animal because they were either too far away or behind glass or fencing material. Cute, isn't he?

-16- Car Wash

Today I went with Justin to wash his car. I had never before been through one of those car washes where you just stay inside the vehicle. I was excited at first, but then once it got going, I realized it was really scary! Too bad my car needs a good washing as well.

-15- Frozen Milk

We woke up and wanted a nice bowl of cereal and milk, but the milk was partially frozen! Fortunately it was melted enough by the time I needed to make biscuits for lunch. We also turned down the fridge one notch, so hopefully that helps and it is completely defrosted by tomorrow.

-14- Snooty Cat

Yes... this is me and our cat, Chloe. She was being snooty so I asked Justin to take a picture of us.

-13- That's What a Hamburger's All About

Justin and I took a drive today to meet a couple of friends at In-n-Out, now that they finally are in Texas. The line was ridiculous, but the customer service was great so it actually moved pretty quickly. Of course, the food was delicious. One of the best things about their food is that it is so fresh. This picture is of the huge trailer of food that they have in their parking lot because they don't even have freezers - that's how fresh their food is! I bet they use the food in one of these trailers each day. Until another restaurant is near here, they are sure going to need it.

-12- Ice Cream Sundaes

Okay, so I just realized that most of my posts involve food or beverages. This time it's ice cream sundaes! Justin and I fixed these up for ourselves to enjoy while we watched my nephew's high school graduation online (my bowl is the one on the left with more ice cream... obviously).

-11- Enchilada Special

Justin and I went to Fort Worth tonight to have dinner with a friend and his sister. We went to this Mexican restaurant and they had a Wednesday special that featured enchiladas. They were pretty good! It's also really nice to be near so many different cities with different places to go. I have a feeling I'm really going to like living in the metroplex area.

-10- First Cup

Yes, this is the second post in a row of a caffeinated beverage. This is my first pot and cup of coffee I made in our new coffee maker! I was so proud. Now all I need to do is convince Justin that he secretly likes coffee.

-9- Iced Tea

I had never seen one of these contraptions before Justin wanted to add one to our Target wedding registry. We ended up receiving it and he taught me how to use it today. I was fascinated! And it made some pretty good sweet tea!

-8- First Meal

I made our first meal at our apartment tonight at about 11 PM: Kraft macaroni and cheese! We were doing some last minute unpacking and organizing and hadn't eaten dinner at the usual time. It was exciting to break in our new kitchen items!

-7- Love Forever

My sweet, sweet husband wrote this on our kitchen whiteboard as part of the surprise decorations in the apartment, but I didn't notice it until today. He's the best!!!

-6- Chicken Made of Gold

Apparently KFC hasn't realized that their customers are most likely not billionaires if they're now charging $1800 for a 10-piece meal! We saw this sign mistake when we stopped for lunch on the drive home and I thought it was a pretty funny goof.

-5- The Power of Water

We took a little hike today down into the forest. Our goal was to reach this big hole - the Glory Hole. Over many years, the creek's water eroded this giant hole into the rock.

-4- Steak Dinner

We had a feast for dinner tonight! Steak grilled to perfection on the back deck (by Justin, of course), baked potatoes, broccoli.  Yum!

-2- The Drive

Justin and I left for our honeymoon today. It was such a long drive! Once we got closer to our destination, it started looking like this - beautiful!

Justin and I got married today!!! This photo was taken right after we arrived at our apartment after the wedding. I cannot wait to spend my life with this amazing man of God. I am creating this blog to share a photo a day of my new life with him.
